SLEEVELESS DUSTER–This seasons my style uniform is all about layers. Layering is a simple and practical way to pull an outfit together. I’ve tried on several sleeveless waterfall cardigans, but haven’t been able to find one that looks good on me. Since I’m petite, almost 5.4, I look better in simple styles with clean lines so I knew this no-frills style would work well. It creates a long, slimming, line and flatters my pear shape. I bought it at Marshalls I can’t find this specific one online but Nordstrom Rack sells a similar one.
I also wanted to highlight the hi-low hem which is great for slimming hips. You’d think it would emphasize your hips but, it actually makes your hips look slimmer. (If the top is a straight fit and hangs straight down from your underarms/shoulders.) If you have narrow hips, try a hem that is the opposite, curved up at the sides and wear lighter colored or printed bottoms.
