Simple Everyday Spring Outfit

I’m a big fan of simplicity. Get dressed as nicely as you can as quickly as you can. In spring, when the weather is sunny but cooler, I usually grab a sweater and jeans. For a spring outfit, I like simple clean lines with hits of glam.

JCrew Factory has some petite wear so I decided to try out this boatneck sweater using a gift card I got for Christmas for my winter capsule. I also figured the color would easily roll into my spring capsule. Petite wear can work really well for me, but for some reason, their petite clothes have really short arms, and I unfortunately have really long arms.

I specifically looked for a boatneck neckline since it’s so flattering for my pear shape, but didn’t wear this one in winter as much as I thought I would. But now it’s in the weekly rotation! The shorter sleeves don’t bother me as much in the warmer weather.

The shorter arms can work well as a layering piece over a button-down, if you roll up the cuffs for a cute preppy look.

This is a great everyday outfit. You can dress it up or down with your accessories. Add heels and a smart handbag for a more sophisticated style to wear to the office. I love the fresh clean look of white jeans with a tee shirt or a tank for when the weather warms up. It’s great for the summer too.
