This white & navy striped number ($17.99) is one of my favorite dresses from last summer. (Styled with a neck scarf, part of my summer travel capsule) I adore the simple design, especially the pockets. This year H&M reversed the stripes to dark blue with white stripes! Since mine is on the verge of looking dingy, (I wear it quite a bit) I’m tempted to purchase this updated version. My white one requires a little slip and the new version might not since the fabric is darker.
It also comes in black, dark grey melange, dark pink, & teal melange.
I’m also featuring this fabulous 2-Way Stole ($19.90 also available in wine, beige, olive, & navy) I recently picked up from Uniqlo. You can wear it poncho style or like a scarf. Hubby and I’ll be doing a little traveling in Europe this summer (details to come) and I thought it would be perfect for a long plane ride! It’s lightweight, soft, and packs easily in a tote. Today I’m styling it as a poncho, but it also looks great as a scarf. It takes a little practice to get it to look as good as on the mannequin tho! Haha. I’ve grabbed it quite a bit the last couple weeks as we’ve had many cool, cloudy days with lots of light rain.

Shannon, thinking of ordering the dress…can you comment as to sizing, i.e. true to size, big, small, etc.? On you it appears short enough to work for petite and the neck doesn’t seem to be too wide either….another challenge for me as petite…
Hi, Lori! H&M is a Swiss brand so I always size up when I shop there because European sizes are smaller. I’m wearing a XS which is not normal: I usually fit a S, but I think it’s because the style is loose. Dresses these days are on the short side and the length on this dress is the shortest I’m comfortable going. I don’t feel immodest in it. I also have long legs so if you have average length legs for your height and you’re under 5.3 you’d be fine. I wish it was a tad longer. I’m 5.3 and 3/4 – almost 5.4. I hope that helps! Love this outfit! I’ve been looking for some easy summer dresses and this one looks perfect! Came to ask u about sizing but saw the above comment. I’m 5’5″ 130 lbs and trying to decide between small and med. want it to have a looser fit and not too short. May go with the Med. love your blog!
