Style Refresh for the New Year: 1 Jumpsuit, 3 Ways

Sending love from Yosemite! It’s a beautiful winter wonderland here and I’ve got two more days to spend in creation soaking up quality time with our career group on our winter retreat.

Now that you’re slowly emerging out of winter break mode (anyone feel like they needed a break after break?) I am sharing my style inspiration via my current closet. 

I’m amped and so ready to help you get 2024 started off right!

Here’s the truth: the only way to get better at styling yourself is to practice, so I challenged myself to find 3 ways to wear this piece in (California) winter. 

I created three different outfits using my utility jumpsuit. This green is a versatile color – almost like a neutral.

GAMINE
Iconic pieces for the “gamine” look in this outfit are the cotton and rope satchel and the French inspired beret. Adding canvas sneakers give it that “pedaling-to-the market” look. 

I love a merino wool sweater, especially one that has dainty feminine details – like an ever so slightly puffed sleeve – to keep it more classic than trendy. For a super cold day I’ll layer my camel coat on top.

The quirky or unique necklace completes this gamine style.

EDGY
The moto jacket is an iconic piece for the “edgy” look and creates the whole vibe of the outfit. Adding the camo hat and black shoes support the theme + add visual interest. 

The black turtleneck makes this outfit warm for winter proving many pieces can be worn year round! 

The style of the fisherman sandals with socks for an unexpected Euro twist.

POSH
A fur jacket is a must have style staple in my book. The trick is to find one that has just the right amount of volume. It will instantly elevate any look from jeans and tee to a cocktail dress. 

Elevated fabrics plus refined jewelry (the gold necklace) and a “designer” handbag make up this polished outfit. 

The trench coat belt keeps it fun versus snobby. 

The new year is a GREAT time to get into your closet and start playing around! See how many different outfits you can come up with for one of your favorite pieces you haven’t worn for a couple of months. If even that feels too daunting then. . .
