CHAMBRAY TOP + NECKERCHIEF–If there is one piece you add to your wardrobe this season, make it a silk scarf! It doesn’t have to be brand new, stalk your favorite thrift shop for budget friendly options. The other day I was pursuing through a fashion magazine and I saw a chambray or denim top with a little silk scarf or neckerchief sported by celebrities several times so I was inspired to try it for you. The day we did the photo shoot it was 40 degrees so I forgot to roll up the sleeves – definitely a better look. (See here.) This outfit is an easy way to incorporate the neck scarf craze into your personal style with pieces you already have! I also styled my scarf like a long tie last spring here. See my darling daughter wearing it here.
I bought the grey jeggings at the end of spring last year and intended to pack them away at the end of the season, but I ended up wearing them year round. See them with a drapey poncho and with a waterfall cardigan.

Thanks Nancy! Have a great weekend too!
Such a gorgeous look! I have those same gray jeggings and blush handbag plus I have a denim shirt hanging in my closet so all I need is a silk scarf! Happy shopping this weekend!
Fantastic! It’s such an easy outfit to grab and throw on. Don’t you love the grey jeggings?!? xx-S
I hope you will share the wardrobe you are putting together for your friend!
Hi, Julie! What a great idea. I’ll see if I can post some of the pieces we pick up depending on how the trip goes. 🙂 xx-S
So cute! Love the pic of your daughter in link 🙂
Thanks, Lori! She’s a gem! xx-S
How do I know if one of my own “vintage” scarves hits the mark? Are there any patterns or colors on trend? You look so ready for spring. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, Jayne! Great question. When it comes to color, I always advise people to wear what makes their skin glow. Right now blush is still trending strong and Greenery, a yellow-green, is the color of the year. Red also made an appearance on the spring/summer runways as did blues. Your best bet is to wear what looks good on you, that’s true style, not necessarily whats struttin’ down the catwalk. 😉 xx-S
