BOHEMIAN STYLE-Boho Chic is a fun and popular trend right now. (See my tips and SHOPPING LIST on how to dress boho chic below.) This is one of my favorite boho inspired dresses from Nordstrom Rack. I fell in love with it at first sight – it reminded me of something from Anthropologie.
The label is Max Studio. I like this brand because they offer some flattering, knee length dresses – hard to find these days. They are at a discounted price at Rack or even TJ Maxx, in the $30 – $40 range, currently on sale. Shop below.

COMMENT OF THE WEEK:
” How [do] you work the [seasonal] capsule… each season do you pack the unneeded clothes away and pull them out each year at that time? Or as mentioned above, do you allow yourself to buy a few new items each season and then use them until the next year keeping your staples that you use season to season? This would seem the best way to stay up with current styles and cuts. Or is your style timeless and therefore this is not necessary?” REBECCA
REBECCA, great question from my “How to Survive A Shopping Freeze” post. At the end of each season, I pack away what is wearable for another year. I try to keep my staples pretty basic and classic, ie black shorts and white t-shirts for summer so they last me as long as possible. I like to have one trendy item in several categories, like a pair of shoes, a top, cardigan, necklace, etc.
Because my capsules are small, approx 35 items, I wear out my clothes and have to update a number of items each season. I think it’s better to have a smaller amount of clothes that you love and wear out each season, rather than having a huge closet full of nice outdated clothes you hardly use. Hope that helps.

Thank you for stopping by! xx-S
Love this whole ensemble. The dress and clutch are gorgeous. And I agree about the brand. Max Studio is my go to brand. I love how they fit and I can safely order that brand online because it is so consistent. Max and INC from Macy’s are my brands for dresses! And I love to wear dresses!
I agree. I got quite a few Max Studio dresses last spring/summer that I am enjoying this year. INC is great. I love to wear dresses in warm weather. 🙂
Love this post!!
Thanks Angela!! So happy to see you stopping by!! xx-S
Shannon, this is a very pretty look on you. I could see myself wearing it too, as I like a bit of boho, but not “full boho”, i.e. I can’t go all out with tassels, hippie sandals, big belts, etc… that’s just not me. So I really like how you kept it classic with the shoes and pared down accessories. I think it would look lovely with a pair of flat tan sandals!
I wish I could shop for your clothes here in the UK, but we don’t have a lot of the shops you buy things from. But I love the inspiration. Thank you.
Thanks Emma!! I think it’s fun to be able to incorporate a style even if you don’t go all out! I think the dress would look great with flat tan sandals!! Great idea. 🙂 xx-S
Would love to do a collaboration with you. Just let me know what you have in mind.
