Best Sandals for Petites

Calling all shorties! Anyone 5’4 or under? I found a pair of sandals you’ll LOVE.

I snagged these Steve Madden shoes from Nordstrom online a couple of weeks ago when they were on sale. Keep an eye out because they are worth grabbing when they go back to the discounted price! I’m so tempted to buy another pair. There are many colors to choose from!

The Bandi Platform Wedge Sandals are so comfortable and light. They have a 2 1/2″ heel with 1 1/2″ platform and I feel SO amazing and tall when I wear these. I normally don’t go higher than a 2-inch heel for everyday wear but these feel like flats and I can wear them all day.

They run narrow so order 1/2 a size up if you have wide feet. I have super wide feet and wear between a 71/2 and 8. I wasn’t sure if the 8 would fit me – because of the elastic straps they work fine. If you want a more feminine style with an espadrille look try these.

How To Wear Yellow

Yellow is a hot trend color this season, but many people avoid it because they don’t know how to wear it. The trick is to find the right shade for your skin tone. My friend Gabby, a color analysis, put together this graphic to help you. If you have a warm undertone (Autumn or Spring) you’ll need more of a warm/brown yellow. Yellow makes a great accent color for accessories. It really pops against blue and compliments pink, coral, and grey. Many people are scared to try yellow because they feel it washes them out so start by wearing it away from your face.  For example, add a yellow summer bag to your outfits for a fresh-looking update to start experimenting with this fun hue.

Styling a yellow necklace over a grey tee shirt is a perfect way to brighten up a staple top. Ready to go bold? Layer a yellow cardigan it over a white or a coral dress! Or try pairing a yellow belt with your jean shorts, or chambray dress. In fall add a mustard belt to dark denim with leopard flats + a crisp white top for a polished look!
