Today I want to introduce you to a brand that’s becoming popular in the US: Uniqlo. This Japanese based line focuses on producing “current basics” for updating your seasonal wardrobe. They incorporate the latest trends in art and design into their current pieces. The prices here are budget friendly, and the construction and quality of their garments are comparable to H&M or Target. If you like simple, non-fussy lines, minimalistic styles, or just affordable classic closet staples, this store is for you.
For first time online shoppers, you can get $10 off your first purchase when you enter your email address into their website pop-up.
I’ve been looking to refresh my summer closet with budget-conscious and trendy pieces for the season. On my most recent trip to the store, I focused on looking for skirts and pants and walked out the door with two skirts, one pair of pants, and a white tee.
First, let me rave about this Drape Crew Neck Tee. It’s been my go-to lately. I love the flattering drapey style. It’s on the thin side, so for the white version, you need a really good t-shirt bra. It’s comfortable and versatile. You can style it tucked in or out and pair it with pants and skirts. Best of all it’s only $14.90 and comes six other colors. So if white isn’t your thing, check out these other hues.
Wide leg pants are a comfy and hot trend this season. I’m in love with this pair at a GREAT price point: $19.99! They are a jersey fabrication you could live in. These pants are fantastic for traveling! If you have an upcoming vacation which involves a long or short plane ride – travel in style with these babies.
I’m also crushing on the Belted Linen Cotton Mustard Wide Leg Pants below with the bow tie for $29.99. Other colors include olive, navy, and beige. They didn’t have my size in the store, or else I’m sure I would have walked out with these too!
The bow trend is popping up everywhere. This darling pencil skirt is on sale for $9.99 in red and olive. It has a side zipper and a stretch fabrication for a comfortable fit. Red is a trend color and you’ll want to add a little bit of it into your closet this year. Red will also transition seamlessly into fall and winter. I tried on the denim and red version and walked out with the red skirt.
Lastly, I added this chiffon pleated skirt to my summer collection. It’s now on sale for $19.90. I like the midi length. It also comes in white, blush, and two printed versions. If I had a redo, I would have gone with the black and white instead of the navy. I need to add more prints to my closet.
Those of you looking for work wear options, Uniqlo has classic styles for trousers! Here are some chic ankle pants.
Checked Trousers $29.99
Wool-Like Trousers $29.99

Such great options. I especially like the pleated skirt but sadly too short for that style …..maybe if it wasn’t too full I could get away with it, very feminine and I’m sure comfy.

Love the red skirt!

This skirt is definitely out of my comfort zone. I typically stick with neutrals but know I need to branch out a little. It’s a fun pop of color!
