FALL FLORALS — Florals are popping up everywhere this season. It’s a fun trend I’m excited to incorporate into my fall wardrobe. This adorable Alesia shift dress came in my Stitch Fix box several weeks ago. As a pear shape, I don’t look great in shift dresses so I added a belt to make it work.
For a fun boho chic look, I styled it with a textured knit sleeveless waterfall cardigan, ankle booties and a slouchy purse. I ended up sending it back, but I love the idea of fall florals and hope to find another one.
I really like the sleeveless fringe cardigan from Target. (It also comes in black.) It’s a great layering piece and looks amazing with jeans and tee (see the Target link).

COMMENT OF THE WEEK:
“This was SOOO encouraging to me, Shannon! It is great to know that we don’t have to get rid of favorite clothing pieces just because they are old:-) Could you give some tips on thrift store shopping? It seems like every time I come home with a thrift store purchase, the item has a major flaw or rip I did not see, or has a funny smell. I LOVE your blog!“ PATTY
That’s a great idea, Patty! Thank you for your comment on last week’s post: Gingham & Slim Jeans. I’ve been wanting to share some tips on thrift shopping and will try to write something up.
PLEASE SHARE: Where do you shop to find a good day dress? or Which outfit did you like the best?

You look so pretty in this dress! I love the mix of black and grey tones. It adds a cool touch to the feminine look of the dress.

Thanks Gina. I really like the waterfall sleeveless cardigan. Such an easy piece to add texture and visual interest to a plain tee and jeans. x-S

Love your posts Shannon! I just bought a blazer from old navy but the sleeves are a bit long. Any suggestions on a decently priced tailor? XO

Hi Kyla, I LOVE Vogue Tailors in Walnut Creek across from the Kaiser. Ask for Sara – she is AMAZING. I love that she gave me styling suggestions on how to wear my blazer when I picked it up from her. 🙂 xx-S

I really am taken with this look, dress or skirt with boots. However just trying this look on me – the legs don’t look as fab as yours. Lovely photos. Nice to link up. Jacqui
