CLASSIC BLAZER MEETS LACE DRESS – I received this gorgeous Lunette Long Pendant Necklace to style, and when I popped into Ross to find a top to wear with it, I found this $15 lace dress that I absolutely fell in love with! I grabbed my classic black blazer on my way out the door not intending to use it for the photoshoot, but I like the unexpected pairing. It turned out so Parisian Chic!

The Lunette necklace is beautiful and looks so pretty with white or ivory. As a pear shape, I wear a lot of white and grey tops. The white turquoise + cool-blue amazonite are gorgeous accents to the ivory dress. I love the gold tones for summer. The worn 12k gold plating and sparkling crystal pavé, can function like a two-tone piece and bring your gold or silver jewelry together in perfect harmony. The necklace also looks wonderful over a tee shirt and jeans. I’m impressed with the quality of C&I jewelry. I have currently own two of their pieces. (See my C&I wrap bracelet.)

Stylist Notes: Necklaces

1. Your necklace will draw attention to your bust and neckline.
2. Choosing the right size, length, and shape can help elongate your neck, face, and torso.
3. Round face: oblong styles or necklaces that hang in a “V” shape look good on you.
4. Rectangle, square, and heart-shaped faces: round and oblong necklaces flatter you.
5. Generally, a necklace that falls between the collarbone and the bust looks good on most figures.
6. If you have broad shoulders, a short neck, or short torso: a long necklace gives you a flattering vertical line.
7. If you’re busty or have a round tummy, keep your necklace above the bustline.
8. Petite: a necklace that falls between the bust and the waist can make you look taller (if you don’t have an extra large bust).
9. I recommend you have at least one pendant, (a long and a short layer together nicely) in rings, discs, lockets or organic shapes and one statement necklace. Pearls and diamonds (or diamond-like) are always classic.
